The Technion Centennial

Reimagining the Next 100 Years

Celebrating a Century of Exploration, Discovery, and Innovation

A quarter of a century before the establishment of the State of
Israel, the Technion
was founded to help educate, develop, and secure the Jewish homeland. And for 100 years,
Technion faculty, students, and alumni have played key roles in nearly every Israeli
technological invention, medical breakthrough, and defense innovation.

The Next 100 Years

Today, the Technion is a hub of entrepreneurship and technical
expertise that serves
Israel and fosters a better world. Technion science will help deter climate change,
end hunger, prevent cancer, cure Alzheimer’s disease, reach new dimensions in space
travel, and protect Israel.

“It’s fortunate that the Technion existed before the State of Israel. If it had been the other way around, who knows what would have happened. The Technion created the State of Israel and deserves the credit for this.”
